It’s suddenly Autumn, and this year that comes with a whole lot of extra excitement. Over the next couple of months I will be having stands at not just one, but two, wool shows! Having a stand all to myself is a brand new adventure for me, and I’m constantly treading the line between enthusiastic excitement and a terrible fear that I will never make it through the ever-lengthening to do list of preparatory tasks as the evening light gets briefer and briefer. (Did I mention that I also start a new day job next week? Just to keep me on my toes…)
First up is Wonderful Wool Day on 8th October at Memorial Hall in Oswestry. It’s being organised by the fabulous ladies at Ewe & Ply, and promises to be a welcoming, chilled out day full of wool, cake and like-minded folk.
Hot on its heels, I will also be at Nottingham Yarn Expo at Nottingham Conference Centre on 11th & 12th November. This is my most local wool show, and I am very excited to be a part of it from its very first year.
In preparation for all of this festivity, I am up to my elbows in fibre at every possible opportunity. I have also been collaborating with the very wonderful Wrigglefingers, who will also be appearing at these events, to develop some shiny new graphics. My garage is filling up nicely with bits of stall furniture, and even my conservatory is being taken over by colourful fluff. I shall hope to see at least some of you there!
